Amy Hilhorst is a Perth poet and PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia. Her research focuses on psychic disturbances in the poetry of Francis Webb, Bruce Beaver and Michael Dransfield. In particular, her thesis explores the poetic speakers’ relationships with language, and the ways that these relationships are evoked through a compressed poetic medium. Amy’s own poetry has been published in Writ, Verity La, Trove and Westerly. She is co-guest-editing a special online issue of Westerly, due for release in May 2017.
