Marcelle Freiman’s poetry has appeared in her books White Lines (Vertical) (2012) and Monkey’s Wedding (1995), and in literary and creative writing journals including Antipodes, Cordite, Mascara Literary Journal, Meanjin, Meniscus, Southerly, TEXT, Transnational Literatures and Westerly. She spent her childhood and early adult years in South Africa, and migrated to Australia, settling in Sydney in the early 1980s. She is an Associate Professor in English and creative writing at Macquarie University, with research interests in creative writing and cognition, cognitive literary studies, creativity, ekphrasis, and poetry.
