Of all the treasures opened up by Ross Digby and Elena Galimberti in the Ania Walwicz Archive
after her death, one so intrigues me that it feels necessary to say something about it now; a
notebook called Doomsday Book,1 dated 24 February 2008. It hasn’t been publicly released.
Since it remains privately circulated, it might be better to describe it here as best possible and
to speak about how or why Walwicz used the name Doomsday Book to make a graphic poem,
for general interest and in light of the fact that most readers might not have seen it.
