Cay Burton is a writer, caregiver, performer, activist, and Master of Arts student studying Early Childhood Education (ECE) at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada. Her research interests include the applied application and advocacy of critical literacy, gender equity, and sustainability in early learning contexts and with very young children. As a settler of mixed Ukrainian, British, Irish, and Scottish descent, she is grateful to live, work, and play on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples.
