Professor Kevin Brophy teaches creative writing in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne. He is the author of 12 books of poetry, fiction and essays. His latest book is Radar (Walleah Press, 2012), a collection of prose poems, in a book that is shared with Nathan Curnow. This poem is partly set in Jamieson and partly in the Kinglake hills outside Melbourne.
