Paul Kane has published five collections of poems, most recently Work life (2007) and A slant of light (2008), as well as The scholar’s rock (2011), a selected poems in Chinese translation. In addition to volumes of poems, he has published eight other books of various kinds. His awards include fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Guggenheim Foundation. He teaches at Vassar College.
