Willis Barnstone is a poet, scholar and translator. Widely travelled, he was in China during the Cultural Revolution and subsequently returned there as a Fulbright Professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University. He is the author of nearly 50 books, including numerous volumes of poetry. He has published translations from Chinese, Spanish, French, Latin, ancient and modern Greek, and biblical Hebrew, including a complete translation of the New Testament and has also edited various anthologies.
